A Second Bite of the Cherry!

If you missed the last Templar Poetry Live event, here's a second bite of the cherry. This cherry's different, of course. This month we have the excellent Susanne Ehrhardt who will be reading from her new collection Rumpelstiltskin's Price

Susanne's work is profoundly engaging. It has a forensic honesty. It's uncompromising and deeply humanitarian. I've been following her work for some time. When Templar decided to publish her, I was delighted. It's my privilege to be reading with Susanne this month.

I'll be reading from Unpredictable Geometry and Dreaming of Walls Repeating Themselves as well as from my forthcoming collection - so this will be a bit of a sneak preview.

And here's a picture of me looking summery. Don't worry, you haven't gone mad. It's last year. I'll probably be wearing galoshes when you see me. Or maybe not. Chipping Norton is on a hill, so there'll be no water to wade through. Lucky Chippy, eh?

Our guest poet this month is the charismatic Dan Holloway. Dan runs eight cuts gallery, a literary project that combines publishing, live shows and online exhibitions. He also hosts the spoken word show The New Libertines. Dan has a new collection out - last man out of eden - and besides writing and performing he manages to find time to write a regular column in Words With Jam. So, not a very busy man then...

As if all this weren't enough, we also have the regular open mic slot. If you want to strut your stuff, then bring a couple of poems and come early to get your name put down on the sheet.

There's our usual mystery books raffle. Will you be this month's lucky winner? There's also the usual range of excellent beverages. Poet Jim Hopcraft runs an excellent pub and he keeps his splendid beers in tip-top condition. You may also get to hear him read.

Do you really want to stay at home?
